This flashcard program is a helpful vocabulary-builder with a few games thrown in. While Declan's German Flashcards will help you build German vocabulary, it lacks the sophistication of other flashcard programs, such as Rosetta Stone and German Before You Know It. The quality and number of images are limited.

This program will also help improve your reading and writing skills. To develop writing skills, you are given an English word, then asked to type in the German translation. The same concept applies to listening comprehension; you hear a word then type that word. Declan's German Flashcards also have a connect-the-word game where you match a word with the appropriate translation.

Declan's German Flashcards will help you build your German vocabulary, but not much more. This software will not teach you how to speak or communicate in German, nor will it teach you the grammar behind German. If you just need an extra vocabulary builder, Declan's German Flashcards would be a good program for you.
